Russell Jenkins - Chairman

Appointed a board member on 26 October 2010.

Russell is Executive, Customer and Community at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank.

Russell joined the Bendigo Building Society as Assistant General Manager Corporate Services in 1992.

Since then Russell’s role has since expanded to include roles such as; Chief Manager - Group Planning and Development, Chief Manager - Community & Alliance Banking and Chief General Manager Retail and Distribution.

Russell has headed the innovative Community Bank® concept since its inception in 1998. Under his guidance, the Community Bank® concept has expanded nationally with more than 265 Community Bank® branches across Australia.

 

Scott Elkington - Director

BBus (Economics)

Appointed a Director in April 2012

Scott has recently been appointed Head of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank’s Community Solutions and Partnering team after holding both Victorian and Queensland State Manager positions with Bendigo Bank over the past 8 years.

Community participation is a big driver for Scott. Coming from smaller communities initially, he has DNA that is wired for leadership and community strengthening. It is this foundation that has set him up to take a natural interest in the not-for-profit sector in both personal and work life.

Scott's qualifications other than 25 years with the Bendigo Banking Group include a Bachelor of Business Degree, majoring in economics with minors in law, business statistics and computing.

 

Philip Lazenby - Director

Licensed Estate Agent, C.B.S.R.E.

Appointed as a board member on 22 November 2011.

Philip is Chief Executive Officer of Bendigo Community Telco and has been an active participant in the Lead On journey since its inception, serving as a board member of Lead On Bendigo for many years.

Philip commenced as CEO of Bendigo Community Telco in October 2007. Philip also has 16 years experience in the banking and finance industries and 14 years experience operating his own real estate business.
